Case study
AI skills for security forensics
Two AI skills that help security investigations, one that profiles attacker patterns in IP logs and one that builds the timeline auditors need.
Context
Security investigations mean working through large volumes of IP logs, and audits need a clear record of what happened.
Challenge
Finding patterns in logs by hand is slow. Turning those findings into a reliable, chronological account for auditors takes even longer.
Approach
- Built an AI skill that runs forensic analysis on IP logs to profile an attacker and understand their patterns.
- Built a second skill that produces a chronological overview of an attack, in the form auditors need.
Outcome
Investigations got a structured profile of attacker behavior instead of raw logs, and auditors got the chronological overview they required.
What I learned
AI is at its best when it handles the volume, so people can focus on judgment.
